HOW TO COOK PORK TOFU
Tofu is a food also called soy bean curd. It is originated
in China brought to the U.S.A. by the
Chinese merchants and travelers. I have no idea how to make tofu from soy beans
but one thing I know is that Tofu is a healthy and tasty ingredient for many
dishes. There are many ways how to cook tofu with many dishes like Pork Tofu,
sweet and sour tofu, etc. My mom taught me some ways how to cook it and this is
what I am going to share with you. This is the very popular Pork Tofu dish.
This is how I cook it:
INGREDIENTS:
2 lbs. boneless pork (diced)
1 lb. Tofu (diced)
2 tablespoon olive oil
1 cup low sodium soy sauce
½ cup water
½ cup sugar
½ cup onion leaves (Cut into 1” long)
2 cloves of garlic (minced)
2 tablespoon of onion (minced)
PROCEDURE:
- Heat oil in a skillet.
- Put garlic, stir fry until light brown.
- Add onion, stir fry until transparent.
- Add pork, stir fry until light brown.
- Add soy sauce, sugar, and water, cook for about 10 minutes.
- In a frying pan, heat oil, and stir fry tofu until golden brown.
- Add the tofu into the skillet of pork.
- Cook until the meat is tender.
- Put in a serving plate, scatter with onion leaves.
