HOW TO BAKE PANCAKES
Pancake is a saucer-like cake made from a semi-liquick
mixture of flours, egg and milk. Frying pan is commonly used in cooking
pancakes but there are some bakers who use griddle. Most pancakes are
quick-breads, Other bakers use yeast or fermented batter. Archeologists say
that pancakes were already eaten during prehistoric era. I learned how to bake
it when I was in grade school. In this recipe, I am going to share with you how
to bake the old style pancake. Here it is:
INGREDIENTS:
3 cups of all-purpose flour
2 pieces of egg
2 ½ cup of milk
7 teaspoon of baking powder
2 teaspoon of salt
6 tablespoon of margarine
2 tablespoon white sugar
oil
PROCEDURE:
- Put together the flour, baking powder, sugar and salt.
- Make a hole in the middle of the mixture and put in the egg, milk and melted margarine. Stir until smooth.
- Put some oil in the frying pan and set over a medium high temperature.
- Scoop some of the batter (as desired amount), pour into the pan, and cook until brown on both surfaces and serve.
