HOW TO COOK PORK KEBAB
Kebab is a meat dish originated in Iran. It became
popular as the years went by. Kebab is commonly served as grilled, roasted, and
stewed. Like many immigrants in the United States, Kebab has become
known worldwide. How to cook it is as simple as ABC and it does not require
deep knowledge in cooking. There are many ways how to cook Kebab and you can
use pork, beef or chicken. It does not matter to me how the Persians cook it
because I made my own way of cooking it. I conducted some experiments and this
is my own version of how to cook Kebab:
INGREDIENTS:
12 oz. of boneless pork
½ green bell pepper (cubed)
½ yellow bell pepper (cubed)
For marinade
4 tablespoon teaspoon of olive oil
1 tablespoon of calamansi extract
1 teaspoon of black pepper
1 tablespoon of dried oregano leaves (grated)
Pinch of salt according to taste
2 cloves garlic (minced)
1 teaspoon onion (minced)
½ teaspoon sesame seeds
½ teaspoon chili powder
PROCEDURE:
- Cut the pork into small cubes.
- Mix all the marinade ingredients together.
- Soak up the pork in the marinade for about 2 hours.
- Spit through 2 meat cubes together with 1 pc each of the bell pepper with the skewer.
- Grill the Kebab, scatter with black pepper, drizzle with olive oil, until the meat is tender.
- And serve.
