HOW TO COOK BEEF ASADO (ASADONG BAKA)



How To Cook Beef Asado (Asadong Baka) –This is one of the common dishes you find whenever you eat in a restaurant in the Philippines. I have shared with you my asadong baboy before and this time, we are going to use the beef instead of pork. Not all of us like pork so I thoguht it is better if I share with you this dish using another meat. This is how to cook Beef Asado in simple way and you are free to add some twist to it. You can add the ingredients or replace some with something you think would suit your taste. To those who have read my Asadong baboy post, you don’t need to learn this thing anymore, all you have to do is to replace the pork with beef and you’re good.
If you feel like using another meat, well, you can use this recipe as guide. You can use the lamb or the chicken breast. It is up to you because you are not cooking to please me so please enjoy my recipe and don’t forget to experiment. This is how to cook Beef Asado (Asadong Baka).



HOW TO COOK BEEF ASADO (ASADONG BAKA)

Ingredients
1 kilo of Beef tenderloin
4 potatoes (quartered)
3 medium size onions (chopped)
1 head of garlic (minced)
1 teaspoon of freshly ground pepper
4 bay leaves (Laurel)
3 cups of vinegar
¼ cup of oil
2 tablespoon of salt
2 tablespoon of low sodium salt
2 red bell peppers (diced)
¼ cup of annatto water
3 tablespoon of tomato sauce (optional)
½ cup of brown sugar
2 ½ cups of water

Cooking Procedure
  1. In a pot, put the beef, vinegar, Pepper, one teaspoon of minced ginger, salt, bay leaves and soy sauce.
  2. Bring to a boil and simmer until the beef is cooked.
  3. In a pan, pour some oil and fry the potatoes. Set aside.
  4. In the same pan, saute garlic and onion. Add tomato sauce.
  5. Add sugar and ½ cup of water.
  6. Slice the beef according to your preference.
  7. In the pan, add the beef, bell pepper, annatto water and bring to a boil. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  8. Remove from heat and serve.

HOW TO COOK CHICKEN TERIYAKI


How To Cook Chicken Teriyaki –I have shared with you my other teriyaki recipes before using the pork and beef and now we are going to cook the Chicken Teriyaki thing. I knew that some of us didn’t like the beef or pork so I thought this recipe would be good for them. This Chicken Teriyaki is a very Asian dish and I think this dish is one of the most served dishes in most of the Japanese restaurants. Not many of us know how to cook Chicken Teriyaki so this is also a good time to learn.

This is just a simple version of it and I think it is better so that those of you who want to experiment but don’t know how to cook this dish could start cooking it easier and doing some experiments at the same time. Although it is just a simple way to cook Chicken Teriyaki, you can still make your own version of it by replacing some of the ingredients with what you think is better or good. Always mind the amount of the ingredients and procedure in cooking Teriyaki because you don’t want to ruin this dish. If you have any questions just post your comment below. HOW TO COOK CHICKEN TERIYAKI

Ingredients
½ kg chicken breasts
2 cups of water
1 cup of rice
2 tablespoon all-purpose flour
10g chicken broth cube
1/8 cup soy sauce
1 tablespoon sugar
3 cups string bean (chopped)
2 tablespoon chopped fried garlic

Cooking Procedure
1. Boil water in a pan. Put the uncooked rice stir and simmer until the rice is cooked.
2. Slice the chicken into about ½ centimeter thin strips.
3. Gather the flour, broth, soy sauce, sugar, and garlic into a bowl and mix thoroughly.
4. Set another frying pan over medium heat, saute the chicken until brown.
5.  Pour the flour into the pan with the strip, and stir.
6. Let it boil and stir until the mixture becomes thick.
7. Put the rice in a small bowl and add the chicken over it and serve.

HOW TO COOK SIMPLE CHICKEN BALTI


How To Cook Simple Chicken Balti –This dish originated in Birmingham and became known by Brits. This is an authentic dish of the English that became popular not only in the United Kingdom but also in the United States. I learned how to cook simple Chicken Balti when I was in college. Using different meat ingredients I was tryng my best to make a simple Balti recipe yet delicious and affordable. There are many kind and variations of this dish since it became an International dish. Like me, many chefs have tried and trying to find ways how to cook simple Chicken Balti and believe me i tried those recipes they created and most of them are really good. Not all Brits know how to cook Chicken Balti because of the lifestyle they have. They are too busy for them to cook so instead of cooking, they end up calling food delivery services. Well, some of them who have the benefit of using extra time for some activities, they do. This recipe I am about to share with you is just a simple one and it is very basic so if you are going to try it, I would advise you to add some ingredients you think could enhance this recipe. Here is how to cook Simple Chicken Balti:



HOW TO COOK SIMPLE CHICKEN BALTI

Ingredients
½ kilo of chicken (chopped into serving pieces)
1 medium size onion (sweet onion would be better), sliced
½ teaspoon of ground pepper
1 teaspoon of shredded ginger
1 teaspoon of annatto water
1 teaspoon of garlic (minced)
250g tomato sauce
2 tablespoon of hot chilli sauce
200ml of water

Cooking Procedure
  1. In a pan, saute garlic, onion and ginger.
  2. Add the chicken and stir-fry for 3 minutes.
  3. Add the tomato sauce and chilli sauce. Stir.
  4. Add the water and simmer for 20 minutes or until the chicken is cooked.
  5. And serve with rice.

HOW TO COOK SIMPLE BANGERS AND MASH


How To Cook Simple Bangers And Mash –Here is another English dish, it is called Bangers and Mash which is actually a combination of sausages and mashed potatoes. Its name is a funny name for a serious food. Commonly used is the Cumberland sausage because many find it best for this dish. Bangers and Mash is sometimes served with onion gravy, or fried onions, peas and beans.
This dish is commonly served in many fast food chains all over the country and that is why Bangers and Mash is called British Working-class dish. Back in college, I had a British friend who I used to hang out with. He taught me how to cook Banger and Mash in his flat. I was amazed that this dish could be that simple and easy to cook. Although there are many types of this dish, I still managed to make my very own version of this dish and I made it simple because not most of us would like to spend little bit more than what we ought to spend for food. In this recipe, I did not use the Cumberland sausage but you can use your ordinary sausage. Try to replace other ingredients if you fell like not using that particular ingredient but make sure you would not ruin the taste. Here is how to cook simple Bangers and Mash:



HOW TO COOK SIMPLE BANGERS AND MASH

Ingredients
  • 4 pork sausages
  • 4 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 2 large size onions (thinly sliced)
  • 1 ½  cup of chicken broth
  • 4 tablespoon of red wine (any fruit wine will do)
  • 1 tablespoon of all-purpose flour
  • 4 large potatoes (chopped)
  • 1 ½ cup of evaporated milk
  • ½ cup of butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Additional ½ cup of butter

Cooking Procedure
  1. In a pan, put 2 tablespoon of oil and 2 tablespoon of butter.
  2. Cook and stir until caramelized. Set aside.
  3. In a pot, pour in water. Add the potatoes and simmer until cooked.
  4. In a pot, pour in water. Add the sausage and simmer until cooked.
  5. In the same pan, add the onions and stir until caramelized.
  6. Add the flour and stir until the flour is scattered all over.
  7. Add the red wine and stir.
  8. Add the chicken broth and simmer for 15 minutes or until the liquid evaporated.
  9. Add salt and pepper.
  10. Mash the potatoes with colander or anything can mash them.
  11. Add the milk and the additional butter and mash the potatoes with them thoroughly.
  12.  Season with little salt and pepper.
  13.  In another skillet, pour in the rest of the oil and butter. Stir until molten. Add the sausages, cook and stir until caramelized.
  14. Put the potatoes on a plate, add the caramelized sausage. Pour the onion gravy over the sausage and serve.

HOW TO COOK CHAMPORADO


   How To Cook Champorado –It is a kind of porridge cooked with chocolate flavorings. Commonly used used ingredient is the glutinous rice which we call malagkit in Tagalog. This sweet rice dish is one of the best snacks of the Filipinos and also it serves as breakfast. If you are going to think about the flvorings, you might say Champorado is expensive but no, because instead of using chocolates, cocoa is used and there are several types of it like the blocks and the powder.
   In some cases, you won’t find cocoa in the shops or grocy stores, you could use the chocolate drinks for the kids but remember that you need to adjust the amount of the sugar you would use because those chocolate drinks are already sweet. This recipe I am going to share with you is just the simple and easy one. You may add more cream or something to add a little creamy taste. Here is how to cook Champorado:




HOW TO COOK CHAMPORADO

INGREDIENTS
½ cup of cocoa powder
1 cup of glutinous rice (malagkit na bigas)
½ cup of brown sugar
½ cup of heavy cream or condensed milk
2 ½ cups of water
1 cup of warm water

COOKING PROCEDURE
  1. In a pot, boil the water.
  2. Add the glutinous rice. Simmer. Stir occasionally to make it thick.
  3. In a cup of warm water, dilute the cocoa powder.
  4. Add the diluted cocoa in the pot. Stir thoroughly.
  5. Add the sugar. Simmer and keep on stirring until the texture becomes thick.
  6. Pour in a serving bowl.
  7. Pour milk over it and serve while hot.
