HOW TO COOK RAGU




Ragu is an Italian dish served with meat-based sauce. It is similar to traditional spaghetti.
I am going to share with you this recipe. I hope you’ll enjoy cooking it.



INGREDIENTS:

1 pc medium size sweet onion (chopped)
¼ cup carrots (chopped)
2 tablespoon celery (chopped)
2 cloves garlic (minced)
2 tablespoon olive oil
¼ cup margarine
1 teaspoon dried oregano leaves
1lb gound sirloin
100g liver spread
¼ cup tomato suace
450g spaghetti sauce
400g spaghetti pasta
Cheddar cheese (shedded)




PROCEDURE:

  1. Melt margarine in a saucepan.
  2. Saute garlic until brown, add onions and carrots and celery.
  3. Add sirloin, liver spread and oregano leaves, cook until sirloin is brown.
  4. Add all the ingredients except cheese and pasta. Simmer for 20 minutes.
  5. Cook the pasta until al dente or drained.
  6. Put the pasta in serving plate, pour ragu sauce over it and scatter with cheese.
  7. And serve.

HOW TO MAKE SASHIMI



Have you eaten a Sashimi before? Do you know how to make it? Are looking for ways how to make Sashimi? Well, this recipe is for you. People who love to eat raw foods must like this Japanese dish called Sashimi. Sashimi is a raw fish dish commonly served with soy sauce or wasabi. The Japanese have many ways how to make it. You can use many kinds of fish when making Sashimi. You can use sea bass, halibut, tuna, etc. In this recipe, we are not going to try how to make it in Japanese ways. I found method how to make Sashimi myself. Here is my recipe:



INGREDIENTS:

½ lb. fresh tuna ( sliced in ½” thick, 1” long)
½ teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vegetable oil

For soy sauce
1 tablespoon olive oil
½ teaspoon ginger (minced)
3 teaspoon sweet onion (minced)
½ teaspoon black pepper
3 pcs red hot chilli (chopped)
3 tablespoon low sodium soy sauce




PROCEDURE:

  1. Wash the tuna with running water for about 5 minutes.
  2. Put into the freezer for 30 minutes.
  3. Scatter the salt and a pinch of pepper over the tuna.
  4. Drizzle with vegetable oil.
  5. In a frying pan, heat the olive oil.
  6. Add the onion, cook until transparent.
  7. Add the ginger, cook for about 30 sec.
  8. Add the chilli, cook for 30 sec.
  9. Pour in the soy sauce, stir, cook for 3 minutes.
  10. Put the into into a serving plate, Pour over the soy sauce.
  11. Scatter with pepper.

Pickled Onions is a very popular food prepared with brine. Some people make it by adding preservatives. The English eat pickled onions alongside with many dishes. There is no difficulty on how to make it because it is very simple and easy. There are many methods how to make it. Others use flavorings, some spices etc. My mom knows 3 ways on how to make pickled onions. She taught me one but I made changes on her recipe and I found my own method how to make it myself. You can make your own version of it too by adding flavorings, or by simply using other variety of onions. Here is my method how to make Pickled Onions.



INGREDIENTS:

2 lbs silverskin onions (peeled)
400g salt
1L of water
400ml vinegar
1 tablespoon of pepper



PROCEDURE:

  1. Make a strong solution by boiling water with salt.
  2. Stir well until salt is dissolved.
  3. Set aside and cool it down.
  4. Soak up the onions into the salt solution for about 24 hours. Make sure all the onions are being soaked.
  5. Remove the onions from the solution and rinse.
  6. Mix the vinegar with pepper.
  7. Put the onions in a sterilized jar.
  8. Pour the vinegar into the jar of onions.
  9. Wait for about two months before using.

Marzipan is a German sweetend food. It is commonly served with almonds and sugar. There are some people who used maple syrup as sweetener. How the Germans make Marzipan? They use real ground almonds and sugar. But in Canada, new version of it became known, and how they make it? They use Maple syrup as sweetener. My grammy has her own way how to make Marzipan. I made a little changes on it because I would like to make my very own Marzipan recipe. Here is how I make it.



INGREDIENTS:

1 ½ cup whole blanched almonds
½ cup confectioner’s sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
½ cup maple syrup
½ cup egg white



PROCEDURE:

  1. Grind the almonds into powder.
  2. Mix with confectioner’s sugar, mix well.
  3. Put the mixture in a bowl.
  4. Whisk the egg white together with vanilla and maple syrup.
  5. In a pan, scatter confectioner’s sugar over it.
  6. Roll out the almond paste into like 10” long and 2” thick stick.
  7. Wrap in a parchment paper and refrigirate for 3 hours.
  8. Cut the Almond stick into pieces.
  9. Wrap with wax paper and refrigirate.

I have shared with you my burger recipes and I am sure you can’t get enough of it so I am going to share with you another method how to make burger. I found it in the internet but I made some changes to make it original. I don’t know if the process is familiar to you.  How to make it does not require lots of ingredients and it’s easy. Here is how to make Marinade Pork Burger:




INGREDIENTS:

1lb. boneless pork (thinly sliced)
1 can of lemon soda
Olive oil
1 bottle hot chili sauce
4 burger buns (lightly toasted)
1 teaspoon lemon extract


PROCEDURE:

  1. In a skillet, put the pork.
  2. Add soda and cook until pork is tender.
  3. In another skillet, put olive oil and heat.
  4. Quick fry the pork.
  5. Drizzle the pork with lemon extract.
  6. Put the pork over the top half of buns.
  7. Add chili sauce, put the other half of the buns.
  8. And serve.
