Have you eaten a Sashimi before? Do you know how to make it? Are looking for ways how to make Sashimi? Well, this recipe is for you. People who love to eat raw foods must like this Japanese dish called Sashimi. Sashimi is a raw fish dish commonly served with soy sauce or wasabi. The Japanese have many ways how to make it. You can use many kinds of fish when making Sashimi. You can use sea bass, halibut, tuna, etc. In this recipe, we are not going to try how to make it in Japanese ways. I found method how to make Sashimi myself. Here is my recipe:



INGREDIENTS:

½ lb. fresh tuna ( sliced in ½” thick, 1” long)
½ teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vegetable oil

For soy sauce
1 tablespoon olive oil
½ teaspoon ginger (minced)
3 teaspoon sweet onion (minced)
½ teaspoon black pepper
3 pcs red hot chilli (chopped)
3 tablespoon low sodium soy sauce




PROCEDURE:

  1. Wash the tuna with running water for about 5 minutes.
  2. Put into the freezer for 30 minutes.
  3. Scatter the salt and a pinch of pepper over the tuna.
  4. Drizzle with vegetable oil.
  5. In a frying pan, heat the olive oil.
  6. Add the onion, cook until transparent.
  7. Add the ginger, cook for about 30 sec.
  8. Add the chilli, cook for 30 sec.
  9. Pour in the soy sauce, stir, cook for 3 minutes.
  10. Put the into into a serving plate, Pour over the soy sauce.
  11. Scatter with pepper.

Pickled Onions is a very popular food prepared with brine. Some people make it by adding preservatives. The English eat pickled onions alongside with many dishes. There is no difficulty on how to make it because it is very simple and easy. There are many methods how to make it. Others use flavorings, some spices etc. My mom knows 3 ways on how to make pickled onions. She taught me one but I made changes on her recipe and I found my own method how to make it myself. You can make your own version of it too by adding flavorings, or by simply using other variety of onions. Here is my method how to make Pickled Onions.



INGREDIENTS:

2 lbs silverskin onions (peeled)
400g salt
1L of water
400ml vinegar
1 tablespoon of pepper



PROCEDURE:

  1. Make a strong solution by boiling water with salt.
  2. Stir well until salt is dissolved.
  3. Set aside and cool it down.
  4. Soak up the onions into the salt solution for about 24 hours. Make sure all the onions are being soaked.
  5. Remove the onions from the solution and rinse.
  6. Mix the vinegar with pepper.
  7. Put the onions in a sterilized jar.
  8. Pour the vinegar into the jar of onions.
  9. Wait for about two months before using.

Marzipan is a German sweetend food. It is commonly served with almonds and sugar. There are some people who used maple syrup as sweetener. How the Germans make Marzipan? They use real ground almonds and sugar. But in Canada, new version of it became known, and how they make it? They use Maple syrup as sweetener. My grammy has her own way how to make Marzipan. I made a little changes on it because I would like to make my very own Marzipan recipe. Here is how I make it.



INGREDIENTS:

1 ½ cup whole blanched almonds
½ cup confectioner’s sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
½ cup maple syrup
½ cup egg white



PROCEDURE:

  1. Grind the almonds into powder.
  2. Mix with confectioner’s sugar, mix well.
  3. Put the mixture in a bowl.
  4. Whisk the egg white together with vanilla and maple syrup.
  5. In a pan, scatter confectioner’s sugar over it.
  6. Roll out the almond paste into like 10” long and 2” thick stick.
  7. Wrap in a parchment paper and refrigirate for 3 hours.
  8. Cut the Almond stick into pieces.
  9. Wrap with wax paper and refrigirate.

I have shared with you my burger recipes and I am sure you can’t get enough of it so I am going to share with you another method how to make burger. I found it in the internet but I made some changes to make it original. I don’t know if the process is familiar to you.  How to make it does not require lots of ingredients and it’s easy. Here is how to make Marinade Pork Burger:




INGREDIENTS:

1lb. boneless pork (thinly sliced)
1 can of lemon soda
Olive oil
1 bottle hot chili sauce
4 burger buns (lightly toasted)
1 teaspoon lemon extract


PROCEDURE:

  1. In a skillet, put the pork.
  2. Add soda and cook until pork is tender.
  3. In another skillet, put olive oil and heat.
  4. Quick fry the pork.
  5. Drizzle the pork with lemon extract.
  6. Put the pork over the top half of buns.
  7. Add chili sauce, put the other half of the buns.
  8. And serve.

Kim chee or others call it kimchi is a Korean dish. It is a traditional dish in Korea that is served with vegetables. How to make Kim chee is very simple but you should wait for weeks before you can eat it from the time you made the dish. The Koreans have many ways how to make it. What I like in this dish is that you can preserve it and I think it can last for about 6 to 12 months. How to make Kim chee last for about a year? Well, it requires fermentation process. But don,t worry because it is easy how to make it and you don’t need to make something hard for the fermentation process, it’ll do it itself. So here is my tutorial on how to make Kim Chee:

Recipe: Kim Chee (Kim Chi)

INGREDIENTS:
3 medium size cabbages
200 grams salt
Water
Onion leaves (chopped into 1” long)


For Kim chee sauce
200 grams squidballs
1 tablespoon black pepper powder
1 medium size sweet onion (minced)
5 cloves garlic (minced)
1 yellow pepper
2 tablespoon red hot chili powder
1 tablespoon brown sugar



PROCEDURE:

  1. Chop the cabbages into pieces.
  2. Put the cabbages in a large bowl, add water and soak up for 5 hours.
  3. Add 150g of salt.
  4. Put all the sauce ingredients in a blender, blend until finely mixed.
  5. Add the onion leaves to the sauce.
  6. Remove the water from the cabbage.
  7. Add the sauce to the cabbage and mix throughly.
  8. Cover and refrigirate for about a week.
  9. And ready to eat.

I have shared with you my Bacon and Chese Burger. It is easy how to make it but this time I am going to share with you how to make Grilled Meatloaf Burger. It is easier to make than Bacon and Cheese burger I have shared with you. If you are a busy person and can’t afford to lose more time on preparing food, this recipe is the best for you (well, I am sure youre not busy beacause you have the time right now to read this recipe lol). Alright, how to make Grilled Meatloaf Burger requires only four ingredients. This is how to make it:



INGREDIENTS:

1 burger buns
200g canned meatloaf (thinly sliced)
1 teaspoon olive oil
Cheddar cheese



PROCEDURE:

  1. Spread olive oil on all sides of the meatloaf.
  2. Grill the meatloaf over medium-high heat, 3 minutes each side.
  3. Grill the buns for about 2 minutes over medium-low heat.
  4. Put the meatloaf on top half of the buns.
  5. Put the cheese on top of the meat loaf.
  6. And put the other half of the buns over the cheese.
  7. And serve.

There are many ways how to make cookies in the United States as well as in Canada. Some are made up of fruits, some are butter. But most of the cookies are baked. In this recipe I am going to share with you how to make cookies without baking it. This cookie we are gonna make, the main ingredient is oatmeal. I did not know it could be possible until our oven got jammed. My mom cooked cookies without baking it and I was amazed. Here is her recipe how to make cookies without baking it:

Recipe: Choco Maple Cookies

INGREDIENTS:

4 cups oatmeal (cooked)
2cups brown sugar                                                  
½ cup all-purpose flour
½ cup milk
½ cup heavy cream
¼ cup melted chocolate
½ cup coco jam
2 teaspoon maple syrup



PROCEDURE:

  1. Mix together all the ingredients, mix well.
  2. Cook in a saucepan over medium heat until very thick.
  3. Place wax paper in a griddle.
  4. Scoop cookie-size of mixture onto the wax paper, let them cool down.
  5. And refrigerate until hardened.

I am the person who loves salad. I can make few of them. What I like most is the Caesar Chicken Salad. My mom taught me how to make Chicken Caesar Salad and now im sharing it with you. There are many ways how to make it and I hope by trying my this recipe you would make your very own version of it. Just don't be afraid to experiment. Gather all the ingredients and follow the procedure.

Recipe: Chicken Caesar Salad

INGREDIENTS:

2 chicken legs (boneless)
2 cups of olive or vegetable oil
10 cups of lettuce (chopped)
2 cups of croutons (garlic, onion, pepper, italian bread,oregano)
Cheese (in desired amount)
Caesar Salad dressing (olive oil, Worcestershire sauce, garlic, egg, Dijon mustard, calamansi extract, pepper)



PROCEDURE:

1.Croutons-  set the oven to 350 degrees, cut bread into about 1cm cubes, scatter on olive oil,  turning bread to coat. Scatter on mixture of minced garlic, onion, pepper and oregano. Cook to golden brown.
2.Caesar Salad dressing- mix and whisk all the ingredients with blender.
3.Grill the chicken. When grilled, spread olive oil all over the chicken. Slice the chicken as desired. Set aside. Mix the lettuce with the croutons and caesar salad dressing in a bowl. Make four servings. Scatter cheese on every serving.

Burger is a hot sandwich served with cooked patties, usually beef. There are many variations of Burger, some people use fish. How to make it is very easy and interesting because it won’t take too much time to make it. I think every country has its own way how to make burger, I am not sure, at least I think so. In this recipe, I am going to share with you how to make Bacon Burger. Here it is:

Recipe: Bacon And Cheese Burger

Ingredients
1 kg bacon
2 eggs (whisked)
1 large size sweet onion (sliced)
200g cheddar cheese (sliced)
2 burger buns
2 tablespoon margarine



Cooking Procedure
  1. In a frying pan, cook the bacon.
  2. Fry the egg in two batches, but don’t scramble it.
  3. On top half of every buns, spread some butter.
  4. Put the fried egg over the butter.
  5. Then put the onions.
  6. Put the bacon over the onions.
  7. Put the cheese over the bacon.
  8. And place top of buns on top of the cheese.
  9. Serve while hot.

The word Casserole is a french word for Saucepan. It is also reffered to the food that is cooked and served in a saucepan. There are many ways how to cook casserole. Many methods are not originally from France and most of the people who know how to cook it learned new methods in their own way. I am one of those people. I tried to learn how to cook it when I was in college but I lost my interest after several failures because I was trying to make myself new version of casserole. Not until I came up with the idea of using a macaroni and carrots. I went to the supermarket to buy the ingredients and finally, I made my method how to cook casserole. And I made not only one version of it but three. Here is my first method how to cook it, my tuna casserole:



Recipe: Tuna Casserole

INGREDIENTS:

50g macaroni
1 medium size onion (minced)
200g cooked tuna (diced)
2 eggs (whisked)
2 cups mozzarella cheese (shredded
1 cup carrots (thinly sliced)
12 oz. canned tuna
500ml condensed milk
1 cup canned young corn (sliced)
½ cup all purpose flour
Oil



PROCEDURE:

  1. Cook macaroni in a pot of water for 10 minutes or until drained.
  2. Preheat the oven to 420 degrees F.
  3. Mix macaroni, onion, 1 cup cheese, flour, carrots, tuna, milk and young corn.
  4. Drizzle a baking pan with oil.
  5. Pour the mixture into the baking pan and scatter with the rest of the cheese.
  6. Bake in the oven for 25 minutes.
  7. And serve.

I love Japanese foods. One of my favs is the Tempura. I love its crispy batter and the taste of the shrimp. I had my first Tempura experience when I was in college. I liked it so I came up with the idea of cooking it for myself, so I conducted research about how to cook it. I made my very first tempura and my mom liked it. Since then, we used to cook Tempura whenever there was a party or occasion in our home. I am gona share with you my recipe.


Recipe: Tempura

INGREDIENTS:

4 pieces large shrimp
1 cup ice cold water
1 tablesppon of baking soda
1 egg
olive oil
½ tablespoon salt
1 cup all purpose flour
Calamansi extract
Soy sauce



PROCEDURE:

  1. Put olive oil in a frying pan and set in a medium heat.
  2. In a plate, spread the shrimp with the salt.
  3. In a small bowl, mix the flour with the baking soda, add a pich of salt.
  4. When the oil is hot enough for frying, whisk the egg with the ice cold water and pour it into the bowl of mixed flour and stir.
  5. Dip the shrimp into the mixed batter quickly.
  6. Put the shrimp into the frying pan and cook for about 3-4 minutes.
  7. When the sound is fading, remove quickly the shrimp and roll it onto the paper towel to remove the excessive oil and put on a plate.
  8. In a small saucer, put soy sauce and mix with calamansi extract according to your desire. And serve.


There you go! You have cooked your tempura. You don’t need to go to the japanesse restaurants just to eat Tempura.

Are you the one who does not eat raw foods but want to eat sushi? Well, this article is about how to cook shrimp sushi. I am talking about cooked sushi because Sushi is commonly prepared as raw food. You can barely find cooked Sushi in any restaurants so i add a twist to its original and traditional raw Sushi of the Japanese. This dish is very simple But i don't know if many chefs know how to make cooked Shrimp Sushi. My mom has her own version of it so maybe some other time I'd share with you her recipe. Here is how to make Shrimp Sushi:



Recipe: Shrimp Sushi

INGREDIENTS:

5 large raw shrimp
Soy sauce
½ cup of ice cold water
1 cup cooked rice
1 tablespoon vinegar
1 tablespoon wasabi paste
1 tablespoon salt





PROCEDURES:

  1. Boil a pot of water and add salt into it.
  2. Skewer the shrimp as desired.
  3. Put the shrimp into the pot of boiling water and cook for about 3 minutes.
  4. After 3 minutes, put the cooked shrimp into the ice cold water.
  5. Remove the shell, the dark vein and the skewer from the shrimp.
  6. Mixed the vinegar with cold water and dip your hands into it.
  7. Take 2 tablespoon of cooked rice and form it into a rectangular shape.
  8. Spread wasabi paste on the shrimp as desired.
  9. Put the formed rice on top of the wasabi and gently press and press into the shrimp.
  10. Prepare the soy sauce for dipping

Spaghetti is served with pasta that is made of flour or water. Some pasta are made of Semolina. Spaghetti became popular because of its good taste. Many people learned how to cook spaghetti. Many people know how to cook it on their very own style. There are some versions of Spaghetti that are become known like Filipino style spaghetti, Italian sausage spaghetti, sweet and sour spaghetti, etc. My mom knows how to cook both Filipino style and Italian sausage spaghetti. But I tried to make my own version, here is how to cook my very own beef spaghetti.

Recipe: Beef Spaghetti

INGREDIENTS:

250g corned beef
8 oz. pack spaghetti pasta
20ml tomato sauce
1 small size potato (minced and cooked)
1 tablespoon blacke pepper powder
1 teaspoon garlic powder
Salt (in desired amount)
Dried oregano leaves (shredded)


PROCEDURE:

  1. Stir fry the corned beef and set aside.
  2. Mix together all the ingredients (except the pasta) in a pan, mix throughly.
  3. Cook over medium-low heat for about 2 hours, stir time to time.
  4. In a pot, put some water add salt, boil the water, put the pasta into it and let it boil until the pasta is cooked.
  5. Put some cooked pasta in a plate, pour some sauce onto it, and serve.


That is how I cook my own version of spaghetti. You may add some changes to it to make your own version too. Learning how to cook spaghetti is not so hard. Many people learned how to cook it right after their first attempt. So do not be afraid to conduct experiment on how to cook your own version of spaghetti.

Pasta carbonara is one kind of Spaghetti. Others call it “white spaghetti”.  It is also an Italian spaghetti dish which I think was created in the middle of 20th century. This is one of many ways how to cook spaghetti. Although it is an Italian dish, I had my first Spaghetti Carbonara in the Philippines. I had it in a local restaurant and I asked the waiter if he knows how to cook it and he said it was just like cooking the spaghetti I uesd to know. I was really amazed of its taste and I found myself thinking about how to cook it. I look it up in the internet and I found not too many recipes of it. I picked the one which I think was the simplest to cook and I made some changes. Here is how to cook my version of Spaghetti Caronara:
 

Recipe: Spaghetti Pasta Carbonara

INGREDIENTS:

½ kg of spaghetti pasta
2 tablespoon of vegetable oil
200g meat loaf (chopped in cubes)
1 medium size sweet onion (minced)
1 clove garlic (minced)
5 eggs (whisked)
2 tablespoons of parsley (chopped)
Salt
Pepper
Shredded cheese (as much as desired)
1 teaspoon of Yogurt



PROCEDURE:

  1. Cook spaghetti pasta in a boiling water with a pich of salt. Cook until al dente.
  2. Put in a bowl and set aside.
  3. Stir fry the meat loaf.
  4. In a pan, stir fry the garlic and onions until the garlic is brown.
  5. Add the cooked meat loaf into the pan, stir.
  6. Add the cooked pasta and oil, stir.
  7. Add the egg, toss with the fork until eggs are half-cooked.
  8. Add the cheese and yogurt, toss still.
  9. Add salt and pepper according to your taste.
  10. Put in a plate, scatter with chopped parsley and serve.

One kind of spaghetti I really like and common to the people is the Spaghetti Bolognese. My mom taught me how to cook it. I think this is the most favorited version of spaghetti. When I was learning how to cook spaghetti, this is the first thing I thought would be the best to cook. Many people tried to learn how to cook their own version of the spaghetti bolognese and most of them succeeded. You may ask yourself how they cooked their own spaghetti, well it is very simple. First, you must know how to cook the simple spaghetti, then try to figure out which ingredient can be replaced like corned beef for sausage, hotdogs for meatballs. This is my simple recipe of how to cook my own version of spaghetti bolognese. Check this out.



INGREDIENTS:

300g corned beef (you may use sausage)
2 medium size sweet onions (thinly sliced)
80g tomato paste
3 tablespoon brown sugar
3 cloves garlic
1 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon chili sauce
1 ½ tablespoon dried oregano leaves (shredded)
1 tablespoon black pepper powder
100ml vegetable oil
2 tablespoon of butter
1kg spaghetti pasta
3L of water





PROCEDURE:

  1. Pour oil into the sauce pan. Fry the onion until cooked.
  2. Add the tomato paste, garlic, brown sugar. Add a little bit of water..
  3. Simmer for 2 hours and stir occassionally. Set aside.
  4. Put some water and salt into a pot, boil, add a little bit of oil and put the pasta.
  5. Simmer until the pasta is cooked or drained.
  6. Put the cooked pasta in a colander and rinse with cold water.
  7. Heat the Sauce one more time and add butter, stir and remove from stove.
  8. Reheat the pasta. Put some in a plate, Pour some sauce on it, and serve while it is hot.
