HOW TO MAKE KIM CHEE OR KIM CHI



Kim chee or others call it kimchi is a Korean dish. It is a traditional dish in Korea that is served with vegetables. How to make Kim chee is very simple but you should wait for weeks before you can eat it from the time you made the dish. The Koreans have many ways how to make it. What I like in this dish is that you can preserve it and I think it can last for about 6 to 12 months. How to make Kim chee last for about a year? Well, it requires fermentation process. But don,t worry because it is easy how to make it and you don’t need to make something hard for the fermentation process, it’ll do it itself. So here is my tutorial on how to make Kim Chee:

Recipe: Kim Chee (Kim Chi)

INGREDIENTS:
3 medium size cabbages
200 grams salt
Water
Onion leaves (chopped into 1” long)


For Kim chee sauce
200 grams squidballs
1 tablespoon black pepper powder
1 medium size sweet onion (minced)
5 cloves garlic (minced)
1 yellow pepper
2 tablespoon red hot chili powder
1 tablespoon brown sugar



PROCEDURE:

  1. Chop the cabbages into pieces.
  2. Put the cabbages in a large bowl, add water and soak up for 5 hours.
  3. Add 150g of salt.
  4. Put all the sauce ingredients in a blender, blend until finely mixed.
  5. Add the onion leaves to the sauce.
  6. Remove the water from the cabbage.
  7. Add the sauce to the cabbage and mix throughly.
  8. Cover and refrigirate for about a week.
  9. And ready to eat.
