How To Cook Ginataang Langka With Dilis –I alread shared with you my
recipe for this one months ago but I came up with new recipe or I should say I
discover a new ingredient for this dish. In the recipe of Ginataang Langka that
I had shared with you, we used tinapa flakes but this time we are going to
replace it with Dilis. Yes, this is Ginataang Langka with Dilis. I tried it
once and I didn’t know that adding Dilis in a ginataan dishes is not new. I
felt like I was kind of dumbass trying hard chef the moment I knew this wasn’t
a new thing. So I am going to shre with you my recipe, here is how to cook
Ginataang Langka with Dilis:
Ingredients
4 cups of thinly chopped Langka (Jackfruit)
2 cups of kakang gata (coconut milk)
1 cup of Dilis (dried small fish)
1 medium size onion (sliced)
6 cloves of garlic (minced)
1 thumb-size of ginger (sliced)
1 teaspoon of ground pepper
Fish sauce to taste
1 cup of water (you can add or reduce the amount according
to your preference)
Cooking Procedure
- In a pot, saute onion and garlic until light brown.
- Add the ginger, saute for 1 minute.
- Add the jackfuit and saute for 2 minutes.
- Add the water, fish sauce and pepper. Bring to a boil and simmer until the Jackfruit is half cooked.
- Add the Gata and Dilis. Simmer until the Jackfruit is cooked.
- Remove from heat and serve with rice.
