HOW TO COOK PORK STEW



I have shared with you how to cook Beef Stew. This time, we are going to discuss how to cook Pork stew.  This dish has many variations. Pork stew is cooked in different ways by different countries. Others prefer it to be hot and spicy, others want it to be little sweet. This Pork Stew recipe I am gonna share with you is one of the easiest and simplest versions of stew. It’s my mom’s recipe but you can make some changes according to your taste. It is an easy Pork Stew recipe but I am sure you’ll like it. Here is how to cook my mom’s Pork Stew:



INGREDIENTS:

1lb boneless pork (chopped into cubes)
1 large size sweet onion (chopped)
2 small size potatoes (chopped into 1cm x 1 cm cubes)
2 stalks celery (sliced into 1cm)
10 grams instant pork broth cube
¼ cup onion leaves (chopped)
¼ teaspoon dried oregano leaves (shredded)
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon black pepper powder
3 tablespoon all purpose-flour
3 tablespoon margarine
2 tablespoon vegetable oil




PROCEDURE:

  1. Heat oil in a skillet over high heat.
  2. Put the pork and stir fry until pork is becomes light brown.
  3. Add half of the onion and cook until transparent.
  4. Dissolve broth cube in 2 cups of water and add into the skillet.
  5. Add the potatoes, celery, onion leaves, dried oregano leaves, salt, pepper, onions and cook until the meat is tender.
  6. Add the margarine and flour, stir thoroughly.
  7. And serve.
