How To Make Rouladen –How many meat rolls that we know of? I
have tried many, it’s a shame that most of them, I don’t know how to make. This
German Rouladen is a meat rolls filled with onions, some pickles and bacon. One
of the processes in making this dish the frying
so oil is necessary but everyone has its own way of frying like when it
comes to using oil, some of us prefer cooking oil, others prefer butter or
olive oil. It is up to you, just do not
skip the frying process. This recipe I am going to share with you is not mine.
I just found it on the internet. But I like this recipe so i want to share it
with you. You may want to replace some ingredients but make sure you won’t ruin
the taste. Making this dish is not tricky at all so it is good for the beginners and new
housewives who want to impress their husbands. Here is how to make Rouladen:
Ingredients
1 lb. steak (sliced as thin as possible, 3x3 inches in area)
German ground mustard
½ lb. bacon
2 large size sweet onions (sliced)
15 oz. jar dill pickles (sliced)
2 tbsp butter (or oil)
2 cups water
1cup beef broth
Cooking Procedure
- Spread every side of the steak with mustard, according to your taste, of course.
- Arrange bacon, onions and pickles on every steak fillet and roll.
- To hold every end of the rolls, use toothpick.
- In a pan, heat the butter to melt over medium heat.
- When the butter is molten, fry the rolls until browned.
- Add water and beef broth, simmer for 50 minutes.
- And serve.
