HOW TO COOK PICHELSTEINER

How To Cook Pichelsteiner  –this dish is very popular in Germany but many countries with decent numbers of German minorities are aware of this. Pichelsteiner is an Aryan version of beef stew or sometimes not just beef but also combined with pork. Like many other stews, this dish is also cooked and served along with vegetables. Papaya, potatoes and carrots are commonly used in this dish but you can use your favorite vegetables as long as you don’t ruin the taste. In this recipe I am going to share with you, greenpeas, parsley, celery root, tomatoes, potatoes, carrots and greenpeas are used. Here is how to cook Pichelsteiner:

½ tsp pepper (freshly ground)
2 cups potatoes (cut into cubes)
1 cup green peas (cooked)
3 medium size carrots (cut into cubes)

  2. Remove the beef from the pot, drain and set aside.
  3. In a pan, heat oil. Fry the meat until browned. Remove and set aside.
