HOW TO COOK ADOBONG KANGKONG (SAUTEED ASIAN WATERCRESS)




     Adobong Kangkong or Sauteed Asian Watercress is common dish for the vegetarians in the Philippines. Kangkong is very cheap in the market but it is packed with vitamins so it is a healthy and affordable. There are numerous dishes that can be cooked with Kangkong but the very common is the Adobong Kangkong. Kangkong is not difficult to cook because it does not require much ingredients. Another good thing about Kangkong is that you can use it as a replacement for string bean in like sinigang for example. Here is my simple tutorial on how to cook Adobong Kangkong:





ADOBONG KANGKONG RECIPE:

INGREDIENTS:

1 tbsp cooking oil
1tsp garlic (crushed)
4 tbsp barbecue marinade
3 cups kangkong (Asian watercress)
1 tbsp vinegar
Salt to taste



PROCEDURE:

  1. In a frying pan, heat oil and saute garlic until golden brown.
  2. Add barbecue marinade and kangkong leaves, stir until the kangkong turns dark green..
  3. Add vinegar and salt.
  4. Put in a serving plate with rice and serve.
